Instagram Campaigns
Important: What This Feature Actually Is
Instagram Campaigns does not create real ad campaigns in Meta Ads Manager. It's an internal Whoxa CRM construct — a named wrapper around a single automation that auto-replies when someone starts a new DM conversation with a connected Instagram account. Think of it as "auto-reply setup with a campaign label," not an ads tool.
Where to Find It
Sidebar → Instagram → Instagram Campaigns (route /integrations/instagram-campaigns).
Creating a Campaign
- Click Create. Fill in:
- Campaign name
- Instagram account — dropdown of your connected accounts (see Connect Instagram)
- Objective — a cosmetic label only, one of: Lead Generation, Sales, Customer Support, Engagement, Brand Awareness
- Save. The campaign is created with status Draft.
Building the Automation
- Click Build Automation on the campaign. Whoxa CRM creates a linked automation (trigger: "on chat start", channel: Instagram) and opens the Automation Flow Builder.
- Build your flow — add at least a start node and one connected node (e.g. a message reply).
- Return to the Campaigns page.
Activating
Click Activate. Whoxa CRM checks the linked automation has a start node and at least one connection — if not, you'll get an error asking you to finish building the flow first. Once active, the campaign only auto-replies to new DMs on the specific Instagram account you selected — other connected accounts are unaffected.
Pausing & Deleting
- Pause — deactivates the automation but keeps the campaign and its flow, so you can reactivate later.
- Delete — deactivates the automation and permanently removes the campaign.
How It Behaves at Runtime
When a new DM conversation starts on a connected account, Whoxa CRM looks for an active campaign automation scoped to that account first; if none exists, it falls back to any account-agnostic active campaign. Only the automation's first message node is sent as the auto-reply trigger — the rest of your flow builds from there.
